About this Training

The training is designed for aspiring cybersecurity practitioners who perform or want to gain a career related to the protection of information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This course focuses on the knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to provide for the defense of those information systems in a cybersecurity context, including protection, detection, analysis, investigation, and response processes.

Real World Immersion

Participants will be introduced to the Elastic solution used by the Department of Defense, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency (CISA) and corporations and governments world wide to detect and defend against cybersecurity threats to their networks.

Skills you can expect to gain:

  • Tools and tactics to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of common threats.
  • Evaluate the organization’s security, collect, and analyze cybersecurity intelligence.
  • Handle incidents as they occur.
  • Experience a comprehensive approach to security aimed toward those on the front lines of defense.
  • Participants will utilize an AWS Cloud Hosted Security Operations Center style environment.
  • Participants will engage in individual and team cyber threat hunt, analytic and triage activities.

Learn :

  • How to apply Cyber Threat Hunting and Mitigation to defend small and large corporations from cyber attacks. 
  • How to triage and utilize tools such as Elastic for detection, visualization, and hunt functions that can accelerate threat mitigation.
  • Participants will also gain an understanding of how the skills learned fit into cybersecurity incident response teams (CSIRT).
